The future is warm for SETA!

Southampton Engineering Training Association (SETA) based in Millbrook, Hampshire, has benefited from a donation of electric radiators from one of their apprenticeship employers, Glen Dimplex Heating & Ventilation.

Glen Dimplex have kindly donated electric radiators following a recent Open Evening Event that they attended at SETA.

Julie Gough, Managing Director of SETA said “we are very grateful for the donation. As a registered charity, we have spent 50 years committed to delivering quality engineering training to young people. The donation of radiators will be used in our older classrooms which due to the age of the building can be very chilly in colder months”.

As the largest manufacturer of electrical heating appliances, Glen Dimplex understands the importance of training the next generation of apprentices.

“Apprenticeships give you a fantastic experience in the working world and allow you to earn while you learn. The structured training programme allows you to gain skills and knowledge to progress in your career quickly” said Paul Harder, Technical Services Director at Glen Dimplex.

The two Glen Dimplex apprentices pictured, Luke and Christopher , are both currently studying a Maintenance and Operations apprenticeship with SETA. They did an excellent job at installing the radiators, under the expert supervision of one of SETAs electrical instructors.

Paul added “We have recently recruited two, self-motivated, apprentices to join our organisation also as Maintenance and Operations Technicians (with an electrical bias). With manufacturing facilities around the globe this is an excellent opportunity for our successful applicants when they start their training at SETA.”
