What can SETA offer?
We will manage and monitor Apprenticeships every step of the way.
We offer a recruitment service to all companies who train with SETA. We canvas applications from local young people via schools, colleges, the careers service and our Open Evenings. We require a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or predicted), including English Language, Maths and a Science subject. Applicants meeting this requirement are then invited to an Aptitude Test to establish the calibre and potential of these individuals. We can then short-list any number of candidates to you, according to your own criteria, for you to interview and recruit.
We can also access, free, the National Apprenticeship Service's website, www.apprenticeships.org.uk, to help advertise your role.
We offer free advice on which NVQ route and Further Education course will be most suitable for your company and your apprentice. You can then benefit from 22 weeks off-the-job training at our Training Centre. Additional weeks training can be arranged as required at a weekly rate.
SETA deliver high quality BTEC and other Technical Certificate programmes in house. Naturally, we encourage our Apprentices to join one of these but we do work with most of the local Further Education colleges too.
You will be assigned one of our team of industry- experienced Assessors who will follow the apprentice throughout their Apprenticeship, providing a regular point of contact for technical advice, assistance and pastoral support as required. We do not charge for our monitoring services for Apprenticeships.
