Four Tees Engineers Ltd

Four Tees Engineers Ltd was formed in 1982 and has grown from modest beginnings into a highly competent fabrication company offering a complete range of services in fabrication and site work across various industries including rail, water treatment, marine engineering and highways engineering.

Our workforce is highly skilled, and capable of producing work to the most exacting standards. We have our own in-house drawing office, as well as access to highly professional sub-contract draughting facilities. Fabricated items can be supplied in a range of finishes, from simple primer, to the latest multi-coat paint systems. We are dedicated to providing the best possible product, in the shortest time, in the most economical way.

We assist in project management, offering solutions to engineering problems. We have vast experience in heavy fabrication, and we have completed many high profile contracts, sometimes in the most challenging circumstances.

Highways works form a significant part of our operations. Some of the projects include the M27 Hamble Crossing -  which involved installing 2 walk walkways under the M27 bridge over the river Hamble in Hampshire;  Minley Barracks Footbridge - The main span of the bridge was replaced following a bridge strike. The new 28 metre bridge section was fabricated at our works, and transported to site on a special rear wheel steering trailer, to enable it to negotiate corners. The lifting operation took place at night to minimise traffic disruption, and lasted just 7 hours.  As well as the M4 Thames bray Crossing - This project involved adding strengthening angles to the existing bridge girders under the motorway.  The underside of the bridge was scaffolded out to allow access, and all materials had to be manually handled. The existing girder webs were drilled using magnetic broaching machines, and the new angles were fitted using Tension Control Bolts.

Water Treatment works can consist of access metalwork, ladders and walkways. We have extensive experience within this sector. The specification for this type of work is high, and safety is paramount. Our skills and expertise ensure that we are able to fulfil the demands of these contracts. We have completed contracts to install access metalwork at waste water treatment works in Hampshire, West Sussex and Wiltshire.

Some of our work can be seen in the photos towards the bottom of the page.

Tim Stedman, Managing Director, of Four-Tees Engineers Limited, an engineering company based in Segensworth, Fareham, said "Apprenticeships enable you to develop people in a way that promotes the specific skills required by your business and industry. We now have two Metal Fabrication Apprentices at various stages of their learning, both are a great addition to our growing team. We are not only investing in the future of our business, but the future of individuals as well."
